Dean of Students

Staff in the Dean of Students Office, Residential Education, and Graduate Life Office provide support to students on a wide range of issues, and can help students understand and navigate the support resources that are available to them. If you are concerned about a student you can reach out to report your concern to the Graduate Life Office (for graduate students) Residential Education (for undergraduate students) or the Dean of Students generally.

Diversity & Access Office

The Diversity and Access Office can help to address concerns of disability discrimination. If, after completion of the interactive process with their department, a faculty member disagrees with a disability determination or accommodation, they may contact the Diversity and Access Office for assistance in resolving the disagreement.

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)

EH&S is the principal health and safety office at Stanford University. EH&S supports and advances the teaching, learning and research activities at Stanford by promoting a safe and healthy campus environment. It provides and coordinates programs and services that minimize safety, health, environmental, and regulatory risks. If you have a safety concern, you may report it anonymously by using the link below.

Office of Community Standards (OCS)

Stanford's "fundamental standard" requires that students "show both within and without the University such respect for order, morality, personal honor and the rights of others as is demanded of good citizens." OCS helps to uphold this standard at Stanford. If you feel a student's conduct has violated the fundamental standard or the Stanford Honor Code, please reach out to OCS to report your concern.

University Compliance Office

The University Compliance and Ethics Helpline is a resource for community members to ask questions about how to do the right thing or report concerns about possible violations of policies, regulations or laws.

School's Dean's Office

Faculty members with concerns may wish to speak with their Chair, Associate Dean, Dean or others in the school who have a role related to resolving workplace issues. As a general matter, except in emergency situations, the School's Dean's Office should be the point of contact for all issues involving Stanford faculty. See this website for the Faculty Handbook and Links to School's Deans Offices. In addition, the Faculty Affairs division of the Provost's Office has additional resources and information available.

SHARE Title IX and Title VI Office

The SHARE Title IX Office is the University’s central resource for redressing and preventing sexual harassment and violence issues experienced by all Stanford community members. File a Title IX report

If you are a faculty member who has become aware of student being harassed or discriminated against based on race, national origin, or color, please file a Title VI report.  

Threat Assessment Management Team (TAM)

If you are concerned about an individual or situation that may represent a threat on Stanford campus, you may reach out to the Threat Assessment Management team (TAM). Once a report is made, a member of the TAM team will review the information and initiate appropriate action.
